Dixons Kingdom – Day Walks to Solomons Throne and The Temple

Today was a fun day where we did not have to move camp and walked the nearby sites of "Solomons Throne" and "The Temple", taking in the glorious views they afford.  A late afternoon swim at the same tarn as the previous day was also a fun way to finish the day.

Found a ranger’s hut, or perhaps a maintenance person’s hut on a short morning stroll.
Breakfast before leaving to climb Solomons Throne and The Temple. Short walk back to the saddle, Damascus Gate. Solomons Throne, first climb of the day.
Looks like a rough climb from the bottom, but great track work makes it fairly easy.

Lake Ball in the background. Getting close to the final rock gully that leads to the top.
The rocky gully.

Beautiful plateau at the top.
Looking at the valley that we walked through the day before from Herods Gate.

Descending Solomons Throne with The Temple opposite. Started climbing The Temple with Solomons Throne in the background.

Looking back (Solomons Throne is just off to the right), looking at Lake Ball.
Boys got to the top first again.

    Walking back to Dixons Kingdom.
Climbed back up to the plateau on the way to Mt Jerusalem to the swimming tarn.
Time to relax. A rather tame Wallaby around the camp
