Day -1 New York to Niagara Falls      Top
We knew it was going to be a long day, a driving day, 400 miles or 650 kilometres in a bus is a really long day.  Setting off early, we quickly left New York behind and entered the green belt that seemed to extend to Niagara Falls.  Amazingly we stopped at McDonald's, Stroudsburg PA for morning tea, quite an interesting stop.  Lunch was at Corning in a Wegman's Supermarket.  This supermarket had a huge take away and dine-in food area, very different from Australian Supermarkets.  Finally we hit Niagara Falls with a stop at the Duty Free first before heading into Canada via the Rainbow Bridge and then a Passport check by the Canadians.  Into our hotel and quickly out again to see the sights before it got late and our dinner called.  The area near our hotel was very much an amusement park complex.  Winding our way through the streets we headed for the falls and soon found them. Awesome!  But it was getting dark so we headed back to our Hotel, stopping off for dinner on the way.
