Photographed at National Park NSW on 12 September 2011. This was an unusual find as these orchids always grow high up in the tree canopy. As we were walking around an orchid flower was noticed at a rest stop resting just behind a seat. We looked up and there were a few large plants of the Thelychiton epiphyticus orchid high above in the canopy. We were never going to get a closer look so we took advantage of the fallen flower. |
