area on 10 October 2017. We were hunting for new colonies of Caladenia versicolor in the area when our leader for the day indicated that he was told that a possible rare, rarer than the versicolor orchid was possibly close by. The orchid was quickly found as we had a GPS position for it but unfortunately it was not the rare orchid but a very beautiful hybrid spider orchid, no doubt just as rare. |
