Exmouth - Cape Range National Park
Mandu Mandu Gorge Walk

Back

Notes:

Only a short drive off the main road to reach the car park for this walk.  It was a desolate looking area, hot and sunny in the afternoon.  Have good boots and take lots of water for this walk.  We headed down the track which takes you to a rock strewn river bed at the start of the gorge.  Walking on loose rocks is always exciting for us; you need to be so careful in my view.  The cliff faces and gorge views were worthy of our effort.  At one cliff face we noticed a couple of Rock Wallabies sitting and looking around, certainly not worried by us at all.  Walking on we come to the turning point and headed up hill to walk the rim track back to the car park.  This is a rough, rocky climb with pipe markers to show you the general direction to go.  The rim walk although quite rough, offers many wonderful views of the gorge below and out to the sea.
