Notes: It's a easy walk from the campground to the Joffre view point where you can look down into the gorge.  A couple of hundred metres along the track takes you to the point where you can descend into the gorge itself.  This is where the walk is classified as a grade 5 walk and has a good dose of exposure.  From the top to the bottom of the gorge is around 100m and is very steep.  Fortunately the path is marked and has numerous ledges and hand holds to get you with much caution to the gorge floor.  With same further walking you come to the amazing amphitheatre.  Returning to the top again you can continue walking and get good views of the waterfall and amphitheatre  and further along is the main tourist lookout. A worthwhile walk.
