Gibb River Road: Galvin's Gorge Walk |
Notes: Driving down the Gibb River Road we cross the Barnett River and then stop in at the Barnett River Roadhouse for fuel and some fruit. We also had our lunch as well before we headed off. We stopped at the turn in to the Galvin's Gorge Walk carpark. After parking we find the walking track starting point and start our walk. Soon we find ourselves walking next to a stream full of water lillies and then after some minor rock hopping we reach Galvin's gorge. Some people are a;ready swimming and suggest to us it's a bit invigoratiing, so we decide that a walk is all we want to do. A small Aboriginal art work is found hidden behind some bushes on the cliff face. We turn back for the carpark again and the head off down the bummpy Gibb River Road to find a spot for the night. |
