Castle Rock Walk
Granite Skywalk & Karri Lookout

Back

The Porongurup National Park is a great area for walking.  One of the major attractions is this walk, the Castle Rock Walk, incorporating the Skywalk and Karri Lookout.  We did this walk years ago and it has been greatly improved since then, with major steelwork added.  It's still a rock scramble at the start of the Skywalk but the last section with its enclosed ladder up to an expanded viewing area is wonderful.  The initial dirt track is easy to walk although uphill, so it was always going to require some effort to get to the top.  We were glad to see some orchids along the way, always a good reason to stop and look/rest!
