Stamford
Hill Walk
First a stroll to the beach
Over the other side of the water
is Port Lincoln.
Out of the car park to start the
walk
Yes you go straight up to the
top, short and sweaty.
Lots of information panels along
the way.
You can catch you breath this
way and no one knows.
Short mallee type gums are
typical.
To goal gets closer.
Half way and already not a bad
view.
Not far now
A tribute to Mathew Flinders.
Just do it all over again in
reverse! Much easier though.
Lighthouse
Up and around a a few Kilometres
away is the Lighthouse
We found the beach more
interesting.
I think there Tuna ponds out
there in the distance.
Sleaford
Mere
A very forgettable walk to this
place
a beach of solid rock.
Oh it was hot - why did we
bother? Especially when you can see it from the road if
you continue past the NP turn-off.
On the way back near the sea was
much nicer
Port Lincoln
Swans!
Investigator Trail
We hoped this was a better walk
- an it was.
Dry Salt LAke.
We went along the Woodcutters
Beach track.
Looks like this machine was used
to bash the bush down.
As we were close to the water,
we went over to take a closer look
A controlled burn near the park
entrance.
Great views can be had from the
tower look-out on the other side.
Back along the road
Every now and then the beach was
close bay
The fire is really going now.
A helicopter moves around.
Parking lot just up ahead and
our walk is done.
Smoke was smelt for the new few
days.
