Day -4 Philadelphia to Washington DC      Top
24-May-2015

We got out early before the tour started and walked around near our hotel.  First stop was Benjamin Franklin's grave and then onto the Liberty Bell building ( not open yet) and onto the National Parks Office where we booked our timeslot for a free entry for the Independence Hall tour.  Back to the hotel to join our bus tour of Philadelphia.  The Bus headed to the Washington Monument at Eakins Oval, where we had a chance to emulate the famous scene in the Rocky movie.  Mischa relived that scene.  Back in the bus we were dropped near the Liberty Bell Memorial Museum.  We joined the queue and soon were inside with the bell.  Next we headed over to the Independence Hall tour.  The tour spoke of all the historical happens in the Impendence Building that happened over the crucial early years of America.  We then walked downtown via the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the American Revolution to the famed Reading Terminal Market where we bought lunch - a giant Burrito.  Back to our hotel, then out for dinner followed by a tour of the city by night.  Past the infamous Watergate Hotel and on to the The John F Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.  After a tour of the building we headed to the The Jefferson Memorial and finally the Marine Memorial.
