Leven Canyon Walk

Back

We were free camping near Sulphur Creek and took a day trip to Leven Canyon to do the walk.  Google had warned us about the steps so we took an anti-clockwise route to minimize the number of stairs to climb.  Seeing you start and finish at the same point there is no difference in height gain/loss for the walk, so the way you tackle the walk is purely personal.
The paths are well made and in the steep sections a rope handrail is provided.  The lookouts provide a wonderful viewpoint looking down in to the canyon.  The lookouts themselves are great pieces of engineering.
As usual we looked up and about but still looked down and we saw a few orchid species which to us, added to the walk. It also a great place to picnic .
